© Mars Wrigley Starburst Airs feature a new, inflated texture that results in a bouncy, fluffy candy. It comes in Original and Sour Tropical varieties, and will hit stores in fall 2021.

The candy aisle is about to get better, thanks to Mars Wrigley. The company just unveiled Starburst Airs, a candy that is being described as a next-generation aerated gummy. The new sweet isn’t like the classic gummies you’ve already had, and you’ll be able to judge the taste this fall.

Starburst Airs feature a new, inflated texture that results in a bouncy, fluffy candy. Ever wonder what a pillow-like bite would taste like? Probably not, but now we bet you are. The candies come in two varieties: Original and Sour Tropical. The first pack has those classic Starburst flavors, including cherry (red), lemon (yellow), strawberry (pink), orange (orange). For a bite worthy of a pucker, you can grab the Sour Tropical, which includes kiwi strawberry (green), pineapple (yellow), passion fruit (purple), and mango (orange).

“STARBURST is delivering better moments and more smiles to gummy fans with our next-generation aerated gummies — STARBURST Airs,” Justin Hollyn-Taub, senior director, U.S. Fruit Snacks for Mars Wrigley, said in a press release. “STARBURST Airs are reimagined gummies that will leave candy-lovers enamored with the combination of STARBURST flavors in a pillow-like texture.”

The new Starburst Airs will be rolling out at select retailers in fall 2021, but they’ll become available nationwide beginning in early 2022. The soft and squishy candy, as it’s detailed on the packaging, will be available in 4.3-ounce packs. We’ll take 10, please and thank you.
